On your first anniversary, you’ll celebrate. Maybe with a picnic in the warm summer sun and a bike ride. Or maybe you’ll head out to your favourite restaurant and eat so much that you barely make it through the indulgent chocolate dessert. But at the end of the day you’ll sit down with a glass of wine and look through your wedding album.
When you look back on your wedding photos, I want you think of the fun you had, the laughter and silliness. How you felt when you walked down the aisle, or your first dance together as a married couple. Or maybe you will remember climbing over that rustic fence or walking through a paddock of golden grass in your designer gown to get to that magical photo location.
I put a little of my heart into every single wedding
When you choose me to be your wedding photographer, I feel I am a part of your life and your family, a part of your history because I got to share and capture your memories that will forever be with your family. I feel photography is my mark on this world that when I am gone, my photos will live on for centuries through your family history.
And since you invite me into your family on your wedding day, I want to invite you to get to know my family, the most important people in my life and the people that shape who I am.
I want to tell you a little about my family. These are the most important people in my life, they are my strength, my joy and my sorrow. I have three incredible sisters and a brother, all of whom are ridiculously strong and intelligent. I, however, am that little black sheep, the classic ‘middle child’; rebellious, strong willed. I wear my heart on my sleeve and cry at almost everything good and bad. I am not embarrassed by this, my emotions are raw and honest and I choose to see the good in everyone. I am very down to earth and have this crazy way of allowing people to open their hearts to me.
I believe what you give is in turn what you receive
I share my life, or should I say I am a slave, to three beautiful children. I can not believe they will soon be off creating their own life paths.
Having children and especially one with special needs, has opened my eyes to a whole new world of differences, love and understanding. I now realise how important it is to have photographs. Time goes by so fast and looking back at precious memories is priceless.
My work is people centred. I love capturing looks, moments and memories. My best work comes from making people feel comfortable and special, because they are!
